A Monroe Police officer who was arrested Saturday on a domestic abuse TOSHIBA satellite a75 battery charge now faces an internal affairs investigation.
Lt. David Auger, 50, and his wife Kim Auger, 35, both of Leisure Drive in eastern Ouachita Parish, were arrested by a Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s deputy following an altercation at their home.
Kim Auger is also charged with domestic abuse hp pavilion dv9000 ac adapter battery.
Monroe Police Chief Quentin Holmes said David Auger is currently on administrative leave, with pay, “pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.”
According to arrest reports, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at the Auger residence. Upon arrival, Kim Auger said she and her husband were involved in a verbal altercation.
Kim Auger said when she attempted to walk away from David Auger, he grabbed her left wrist and the hair.
She also said he attempted to pull her towards him but a struggle ensued and after she separated herself from him, she barricaded herself in the master bedroom. (dell studio 1535 ac adapter)
She admitted to pouring water on her husband during the verbal altercation, but said she never struck him.
David Auger said his wife kicked his leg during the altercation. He initially denied grabbing her wrist or hair, but later admitted that he grabbed her wrist when she poured water on him.
The deputy on scene indicated that neither party suffered any injuries or markings from the incident.
David and Kim Auger were taken to Ouachita Correctional Center for booking.
